ZealDeal Further Expands Use of QR Codes to Enhance its Services

By Deepika Mala, TMCnet Contributor

ZealDeal, a deal promotion site that integrates deals, voucher codes and other money saving promotional offers directly into the marketplace, has expanded its use of QR Codes to further deliver an enhanced user experience.

The expansion will help ZealDeal make all its services more user friendly, easier and quickly sharable amongst friends and family.

QR Codes, also known as Quick Response codes, are already being used in ad campaigns, invoices, billboards and, increasingly, as a contact tool.

The first deal promotion site to implement QR Code into its core service as a consumer tool, ZealDeal is best suited for people with a busy lifestyle who have no time to look for a deal or promotion.

A significant percentage of the population, particularly in domestic environments, prefers to print out web pages, product pages or reference materials from the web.

In some cases, users are required to make a printout of certain materials. For example, shoppers interested in visiting a store has no option but to print out the page that contains the Voucher Code or Discount Code they intend to use.

“At ZealDeal we have implemented a special QR Code/Print option with all our deal promotions that will generate a small page snippet with a QR Code. Users with a smartphone can just scan it and take the details with them, share it with friends or just email it" says co-founder A. Anwar Hossain in a release.

This not only saves printer consumables but also minimizes energy consumption and reduces carbon footprint.

In related news, Vendini announced the release of its new QR Code Capability to allow patrons to use their smartphones to purchase tickets and gain access to concerts, sporting events, and other live performances without ever touching a piece of paper.
