JitterBook Selects Photon Infotech for Implementation of Free Online Textbook Study Community
CAMPBELL, CA and SAN JOSE, CA, Aug 04, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
JitterBook, an online service giving students the best value when
buying and selling their textbooks, is announcing a new innovative
study tool -- JitterBook Online Study Community. Students can now
share what they are learning at the textbook level for free.
"When we started our online buyback site we saw that the same
textbooks are being used across the country. It was easy to figure
out that if a student had a question on the course they were taking,
they were probably not alone. It made sense to give students the
ability to help each other by creating an online study group," stated
Eric Henze, CEO, JitterBook.
Students can create discussions, groups and get answers to their
questions for all textbooks. The site is free to join and use.
"Social communities should be free," said Eric.
JitterBook chose Photon Infotech to implement the JitterBook
Community because of their expertise in Drupal and Web 2.0
implementations. "It was absolutely a fulfilling project to work on
the JitterBook Community simply because of its goal of helping
students get better grades by helping each other," stated Srinivas
Balasubramanian, CEO, Photon Infotech.
Eric stated, "I have worked on dozens of offshore implementations and
Photon Infotech is truly the best. They really have a world class
offshore development model and bring tremendous amount of expertise
to what we are trying to achieve." The community can be found at
